UNDER 8s, 10s & 12s
Coachs: Rory, Sarah, Martin and Grant
Our U8, U10 & U12 sessions allow us to introduce the kids to the rules of the game and teach good ball handling, shooting and layup technique - all with a firm focus on fun. On the weekly sessions, the kids work on improving their individual skills and learn to play as a team. The U10s and U12s participate in the Regional Development League (RDL), which allows the children to play against other local clubs once a month.
U12 - Tuesdays, 17:30 - 19:00 at Peterculter Sports Centre
U10 - Thursday, 18:30 - 19:30 at ISA Aberdeen
Coaches: Gemma and Martin
Our U14 sessions are run as a development academy. The players will work with our development coaches providing a route to playing as part of the performance programme in the National League for those who are able to. With an earlier pathway, we aim to increase our standings in the League. Furthermore, with our presence on the Regional Development League (RDL), we aim to provide our players with a balanced competition structure focused on development and community. In 2018, our U14 squad was crowned the Scottish Cup Champions, and the U14s are currently represented well at both the Regional Academy and National events, with two of our players Jack Stratton and Archie Wakeling being selected for the National Academy Squads.

As Basketball is a team sport our coaches also concentrate on building team ethos. Our U16B squad competes in the Basketball Scotland U16 National Development League (NDL). This competition allows the players to put into practice the skills, knowledge and team work gained during training against players of a similar standard from all over Scotland.
