Following a four week taster block at the tail end of 2012, the Grampian Flyers Basketball Club created a wheelchair team for the North East of Scotland.
Training every week, the team has grown in both numbers and skill level. Between 10 and 20 people now attend every Monday night to train with and compete against one another.
With valuable support from Apache Corporation we have been able to purchase four new much-needed sports wheelchairs.
We also have now have players on the Scottish development pathway who are training to represent their country at various age groups.
The sessions are open to everyone and able to self-propel in a manual wheelchair, and the first few sessions are free.
